Commissions
A commissioned painting or mural usually begins with a sketch to translate the client’s wishes into an image. The sketch is done to scale so that the original idea fits the size of the canvas or wall space. Often, ideas develop and change as the work progresses, and elements can be added or reworked along the way, if possible.
Canvas murals are a popular alternative to painting directly on the wall surface. Although the end result has the same appearance as on-site painting, the canvas can be removed at a later date. This means the wall art can come along if a client is moving or the purpose of the room changes.
